DTI has a strong, ongoing program to compete for grants under the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. We have a long and successful record of bringing products to market which were initially funded by SBIR grants.

DTI's success has received significant attention within the technology community. Our line of PowerMod™ Pulse Modulators was selected twice by R&D Magazine as one of the 100 Most Technologically Significant New Products of the Year. We were also selected by the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative for their Small Business Innovative Research Award - a significant achievement in the state with the highest per capita level of SBIR grants in the country.

A recently awarded Phase II grant to develop a compact power source for a macro-fiber actuator developed by NASA.

A Phase I SBIR grant to design a family of RF amplifiers having common components that can operate over a range of frequencies and power levels for the DOE’s Rare Isotope Accelerator (RIA).

Phase II DOE grants to design a high voltage power supply for the International Linear Collider (ILC) which requires 1.5 msec pulses at 130 kV and 150 A repeated 5 times per second.
